The construction industry has long been seen as environmentally damaging, but that perception is beginning to shift. Despite contributing significantly to UK emissions and waste, the sector is making progress through circular economy practices and sustainability initiatives.
However, real change requires a system-wide shift, moving beyond recycling and short-term cost focus toward long-term environmental value. With the tools already available, the industry now faces a clear choice: adapt and transform, or risk falling behind.
