| The first ever UK LANDCROS Operator Challenge took place at Trainbase, Northumberland, on Saturday 6th June. The purpose of this event was to bring together the UK’s most skilled Hitachi operators to take on a range of challenges designed to push technique, control and efficiency to the limit. On offer at the event were three different Hitachi excavators, including the ZX95USB-7, ZX130LCN-7B and the ZX225US-7. The operators not only had the chance to win the cash prizes on offer, but the winner will represent the UK at the European finals in Amsterdam in September 2026. Hitachi Construction Machinery UK, soon to be rebranded as LANDCROS, is delighted to announce the winners of the inaugural LANDCROS Operator Challenge. Following a highly competitive event showcasing exceptional skill and precision, the top three operators have been recognised for their outstanding performance: 1st Place: Andrew Walker, Herring Plant Hire Ltd 2nd Place: Ollie Old, L Lynch Plant Hire & Haulage Ltd 3rd Place: Lukas Urbonas, Coinford Ltd Abbi Kearney, Marketing & Communications Manager, at HCMUK, commented, “It has been a pleasure to see operators from across the country come together to showcase their skills and compete against each other to become the UK’s first LANDCROS Champion.” HCMUK are looking forward to seeing Andrew compete against the best operators Europe at the final in Amsterdam this September for the chance to win a trip to Japan and the overall title of LANDCROS Champion. |
