The 17th annual Executive Hire Show, held at the Coventry Building Society Arena on the 14th and 15th of February, has closed its doors claiming another remarkable success. The event, which brought together industry professionals from across the plant & tool hire sector, was marked by the highest number of attendees, surpassing last year’s record-breaking figures. The final visitor head count was 2,056 hire professionals, setting an official record. The EHS team extends its gratitude to all exhibitors and visitors for their participation in making this year’s show exceptionally exciting and successful.
This year, the Executive Hire Show featured an impressive lineup of 150 exhibitors, with 31 companies making their debut. A significant highlight was the focus on battery power and electric solutions, which attracted considerable attention from attendees keen on exploring sustainable options for updating their fleets.
Among the exhibitors, Stuart Haskins from Brendon Ltd remarked: “Great to catch up with so many old and new friends, colleagues and especially customers. A good show and very busy.” This sentiment was echoed by CLM Construction Supplies Ltd, who praised the event’s organisation, saying: “As always, it was extremely well thought through and put together. Congratulations to you and the team on another successful show! Bring on 2025!”
Shaun Carway, European Sales Manager at HireTech UK, expressed his appreciation, stating: “Great show, thank you to all the Executive Hire Show team.” Similarly, Ray Neilson, MD at Altrad Belle, looked forward to the future, commenting: “Thanks to the EHS team for hosting a fabulous event where hire companies and suppliers could see the latest innovations and network together. Looking forward to next year already.”
Simon Thacker, Sales Director at the Walsall Wheelbarrow Co Ltd, highlighted the business opportunities presented by the show, noting: “Increased footfall with returning customers signifies more orders placed – a sign of growing interest. Our family heritage story is loved by everyone, and our stand design is a standout hit at the show.”
Ryan Ratcliffe, Director at Groundhog UK Ltd, shared his thanks: “A huge thank you to everyone who came to see us at the Executive Hire Show last week! The team at Executive Hire News did a phenomenal job to fetch a record attendance this year again!”
In terms of product launches and showcases, Takeuchi UK introduced the TB20e, a highlight of the show, while Post Pullers UK Ltd and GGR Group also reported successful interactions with attendees. Ryan Johnstone, Hire controller at YES Hire, took advantage of show deals to enhance their fleet, highlighting the value of the event for business growth.
Atlas Copco showcased its latest battery with a microgrid control system, focusing on sophisticated power solutions. Dragon Equipment introduced the CR450 Diesel Crusher, marking their first diesel-only crusher launch. e-power® International displayed its 100% Hydrogen Generator, showcasing a sustainable alternative for job site power.
Mecalac brought the Revotruck, powered by Perkins Engines, emphasising its versatility with different steering modes. JCB launched its all-new all-electric site dumper, the 3TE, and promoted its suitability for indoor and noise-sensitive environments.
Trime UK showcased Stage 5-compliant generators, focusing on fuel efficiency and low emissions. Gölz UK introduced the BattPak 5048, a weatherproof battery solution designed for the hire industry. The Wirtgen Group presented the Vögele Mini 500 tracked paver, with plans to introduce the battery electric model to the UK market.
ZipLevel demonstrated its compact altimeter/level, aimed at simplifying surveying tasks, further emphasising the innovation-driven nature of the show.
During the Show, Thwaites announced from their stand that Boss Plant Sales Ltd has been appointed as their authorised distributor for London (inside the M25) and Oxfordshire. This strategic decision marks a significant step forward in servicing and distributing in these crucial regions.
Additionally, the show served as a platform to honour industry excellence with the Passionate Hirer Awards on the first evening of the Show. Moore Equipment Hire took home the Single Depot Hire Award, recognising their exceptional service and dedication. Phoenix Hire and Sales claimed the Multi Depot Hire Award, highlighting their extensive achievements and commitment across several locations. These accolades were celebrated at the show’s networking event, acknowledging the remarkable efforts and achievements of both.

The Executive Hire Show 2025 has been announced for the 12th & 13th of February at the CBS Arena, with the industry eagerly anticipating another opportunity to network, discover new products, and forge business relationships.
