James Turner joins Euro Auctions to strengthen the sales team, with a career specialising in liquidations, receivables, and asset disposal, covering all manner of construction machinery, and industrial equipment.
After working for most of his career in his family business, where he launched and ran a specialist equestrian and box trailer dealership, in parallel, James headed up another arm of the family business, in liquidations, waste and recycling. Now James puts on the Euro Auctions ‘red jacket’ and joins the sales team to strengthen relationships with administrators and liquidators for industrial equipment, construction and agricultural machinery.
Why join Euro Auctions? “I had bought and sold equipment, machinery, and all manner of receivables through Euro Auctions and I knew the business very well. I had seen the Leeds sale site develop from a muddy field to a brand new, space-age flagship auction site, which is now the leading auction facility in Europe” explains James.
“I had an epiphany at the end of 2023, and while I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve done to date, it suddenly dawned on me that I was missing seeing my young family grow up. It seemed I was always the dad who was late or absent from the nativity play, rushing to get to family events, or stuck on a motorway. With a young family, the touchpoints that define their growing up are so valuable, and they are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.”

So, I applied, met with the Keys brothers, and my background seemed to strike a chord with their need to be more involved with the network of liquidators in the UK, offering our services where needed. I was employed, and doing what I’ve always done, alongside building stronger relationships with liquidators, is already proving fruitful, getting the Euro Auctions name further into the market.”
