Mar-Train Heavy Haulage Ltd and Euro Auctions announce date for one of the largest ever dispersal sales of specialist heavy haulage machinery and equipment

Mar-Train Heavy Haulage, specialists in heavy haulage and the transportation of abnormal loads throughout the UK and Europe, announce the sale of equipment in Euro Auctions Dromore sale on 17th & 18th May.

Following the completion of Scandinavian wind farm contracts Mar-Train Heavy Haulage is sending to auction an exciting inventory of specialist tractor units, trailers and support vehicles.

Tim Martin, MD of Mar-Train Heavy Haulage comments:

“We have been providing specialist haulage services to major wind farm projects in Sweden and Norway, for which we procured a specialist fleet of vehicles and trailers. Now the contract has reached its final completion, we are selling the fleet at Euro Auctions Dromore sale on May 17th & 18th ”.

The Mar-Train consignment going to auction includes a modern fleet of tractor units ranging from 44 tons up to 250 tons, featuring both left- and right-hand drive, high spec Volvo, Scania, Mercedes and DAF units.

The extensive inventory with 50+ specialist trailers from manufacturers such as Broshuis, Goldhofer, Andover, Nooteboom and Faymonville include:

· Low Loaders ranging from 3 axles to 2 bed 4 / 3 bed 5 modular configurations.

· Goldhofer axle lines, (THP ET) with a range of beds, excavator beams, vessels bridges (unused)

· Goose necks and free turning devices

· Extendible trailers include 3 and 4 axles, extending from 36m to 52m

· Nacelle beds

· Goldhofer windmill tower adaptors.

There is also a range of fully equipped fitter and escort vans with year models between 2016 to 2021 and a large quantity of trailer and tractor unit spares.

This is the largest single dispersal sale of specialist heavy haulage equipment in Europe I have ever seen. There will be massive global interest from all the players in a highly specialised market”.
