Rygor Group launches Rygor Plant with XCMG UK at Plantworx 2023

Rygor Group Ltd. announced at this year’s Plantworx event in Peterborough, that it has launched a brand-new plant division of its business, Rygor Plant. Rygor Plant is the first UK Dealer to partner with Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG) with their Earthmoving product range, allowing them to offer an even more extensive product range to its existing customer-base, as well as new clients in the construction industry. The vast experience within the Rygor business means the company is well suited to offer and support this XCMG product nationwide.

Rygor Plant demonstrates further diversification for the Rygor Group, which includes the multi award-winning commercial vehicle business Rygor Commercials, as well as recently launched APEX Van Solutions and APEX Body Solutions.
Rygor Group Ltd. underwent an MBO in November 2022, with John Keogh and Rish Channa becoming sole owners of the company. The pair are committed to driving the Rygor business forward through continued investment in the company’s people, infrastructure, and the range of services and products it offers customers. Rygor Group commercial director, Rish Channa, attended Plantworx along with members of the Group’s sales team. Rish said: “We’re thrilled to be able to build even more customer choice into the Rygor Group, by continuing to strategically diversify into areas where we can make a tangible difference to our customers. Our business has already been supporting construction industry customers for decades, and our sales team understands the unique requirements of this specialist industry. XCMG is third largest producer of construction equipment worldwide, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer these world-class products to our customers, combined with the exceptional service the Rygor Group is known for. As the largest Mercedes Benz commercial vehicle Dealer group, and Maxus van Dealer group in the UK, it was a natural step for us to partner with XCMG UK as their largest UK dealer.”
Jason Davey, the first XCMG Area Sales Manager to join the Rygor Plant business, said: ““It was clear to me that the Rygor Group business is rapidly innovating and evolving and they have big plans to diversify and grow the Group. The team at Rygor Group is known for always keeping the needs of their customers at the centre of everything they do, so joining the team to help launch Rygor Plant was a really exciting opportunity. I am looking forward to being able to present the XCMG product to the UK construction sector, working with many of our loyal, existing customer base, as well as new customers.”

Rish Channa added: “The construction industry is a fast-paced and competitive sector, and one in which the expertise of our team, our aftersales pedigree, and the quality of the XCMG products will provide maximum value for our customers. That was always the most important factor when we launched Rygor Plant – the needs of our customers – and we’re absolutely committed to being a rewarding, reliable and respectful company to work with.”
XCMG director of sales for UK and Ireland, Alan Sams, said: “I’m excited about the dynamics of Rygor Plant and Rygor Group Ltd. When I met Rish and John, instantly there was a connection there. They’re great guys. Positive, forward-thinking, and commercially driven, and I know Rygor Plant will be successful. Rygor Group is an impressive group with a diverse offering within the industry, especially with Chinese brands such as Maxus and XCMG. At XCMG, we’re very modern-thinking and we share a similar ethos with Rygor Group. We both look to the future and what solutions we can provide for customers, so it’s an exciting partnership.” Rygor Plant provides specialist heavy plant sales and aftersales care, utilising the existing expertise of Rygor Group’s heavy commercial vehicle team, and offers the full range of XCMG Earthmoving products, as well as on-going aftersales repair and maintenance. Their territory stretches from Somerset to Shrewsbury, across to Lincoln, down to North London, and across to Bristol.
